Specialist Tuba & Bass Repair Services
Structural Engineering for the Foundation.
Tuba repair is heavy engineering. The sheer mass of a Bb or Eb Bass means that gravity and torque constantly work against it. We address the ‘body twist’ common in older Sovereigns that causes valves to bind. Our workshop is equipped with the large-scale industrial mandrels and heating torches required to work on these giants.
Common Tuba Issues We come across and put right:
Main Branch Dents: rolling out massive dents in the main tube that restrict airflow and power.
Valve Linkage Noise: Re-engineering the mechanical linkages (Minibal or standard) to silence clanking valves.
Bottom Bow Guards: Repairing or replacing the protective strips and bow guards that take the brunt of floor impacts.
Bell Crushing: reshaping a crushed bell flare to restore the instrument’s projection and aesthetic presence.
